Highest quality thanks to Original Perna Extract in PERNATON®
The Original Perna Extract in PERNATON® consists of 100% pure Perna Canaliculus, the New Zealand green-lipped mussel.
After 18-24 months, just before sexual maturity, the green-lipped mussels are harvested for the Original Perna Extract. Then they have the highest content of nutrients.
To preserve these nutrients, it is essential to process the freshly caught mussels quickly and without heat. Only by means of this production process, the cold extraction, all valuable nutrients and lipids remain contained. This is expensive, but ultimately leads to a superior product.
The water quality, the mussel farm and the fresh mussels are tested against internationally recognised quality assurance standards by the New Zealand Ministry of Health, the New Zealand Food Safety Authority, the US Food and Drug Administration, the European Union and independent scientific laboratories (= pharmaceutical quality, highest level). Each production series is also tested for environmentally induced pathogenic impurities. Only flawless green-lipped mussel extract is further processed.
For more than 20 years the Original Perna Extract has been the main ingredient in all PERNATON® products.
